Parampara 2025: The Kerala Club of Detroit's Golden Jubilee Celebration
We are excited to announce that The Kerala Club is celebrating its Golden Anniversary in 2025. Over the past 50 years since its inception in 1975. The Kerala Club has engaged our community in promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. We have worked diligently in bringing awareness and experience by exchanging cultural, educational, religious, scientific and charitable activities with other national ethno-cultural groups and organizations in the Metro Detroit area. We are a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS Code.
Our organization has actively engaged in local and global charitable efforts. Our initiatives include organizing cancer walks to fund life-saving treatments, raising $100,000 in aid for the victims of the 2018 Kerala floods, Sing for Haiti and leading community-wide vaccination drives during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, we have conducted Passport and OCI Consular services, Blood Drive, Community Kitchen and other services to support the local community members. These actions reflect our unwavering commitment to compassion, responsibility, and making a positive impact.
We are also deeply committed to empowering youth. Each year, The Kerala Club awards two scholarships to exceptional high school seniors based on academic excellence. We emphasize the values of service and responsibility, fostering the development of young members into active, well-rounded individuals who contribute meaningfully to society.
Our Golden Anniversary theme is honoring our past, celebrating our present and embracing our future. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with you. Also offer you and/or your organization the opportunity to partner with us in creating a meaningful impact within our community.
